It is tried to prove that a generic model transformation tool is more suitable for maintaining consistency in comparison to the already existing tools. Therefore, first literature is used to provide a framework for managing inconsistencies. The state-of-the-art in commercialized tools that can contribute in<br \/>\nconsistency management is explored and rated against the provided framework.
